David - Senior

I knocked on the door, and entering, was taken aback by the large stack of clothes on hangers. I looked up at David, and he just smiled. Piling all of his stuff into the van, we headed out. We spent some time in the woods...... but moved pretty quickly to downtown Raleigh, where we came upon some amazing places.

David plays the electric guitar in an awesome band and since they're such an awesome band, he decided to wear his rocking outfit for some of the pics. The band's, Flowers For Faye, colors are black and orange so when we happened upon this... Cait got all excited.

The entire band wears bright orange converse for every show, so I thought it was appropriate to highlight these amazing shoes. The FFF signature cons: This picture is my Justin&Mary picture. When I took it, I immediately thought of Justin and Mary Marantz, two AMAZING, AMAZING photographers in New England. Perhaps I thought of them because they way they shoot is clean and clear, perhaps because they're so flippin' awesome and I'd love to be like them! Whatever the reason, here is my *attempt* at a Justin&Mary photo:

Ginny - Anytime

I don't know how it happened. It just did. All at once I had this great friend who always makes me laugh and who likes to get coffee. She leaves the best messages and keeps me from feeling stupid. When one of us trips over something the other helps her up, laughing at her lack of skillz.

She is awesome. She is Ginny.

Emma - Senior

Drifting through the meeting room, I listen to different conversations. Joining one, I begin to share a mistake I made in scheduling and ask for any advice. As everyone ponders what to say, one person begins to sing... "We're gonna work, work, work this out. We'll make things right, the SUN will shine!" (this example was conceived to make a point, not necessarily portray accuracy) Meet Emma, expert on all things "High School Musical, " JoBro, and Demi Lovato (she'll comment and tell me if I spelled her name incorrectly).

Emma is a dear girl whom I have loved for the past several years. Eloquent and fluent in the longer words of our language, I am constantly off to the dictionary in an attempt to understand her. I love her use of scarves and purple boots and I love her laugh. She writes the BEST letters and hugs so tightly. Her porcelain skin makes baffles me when I apply theatre make-up, and she laughs at my faces.

Emma, you ROCK! I love you and I had so much fun on your shoot! Thanks for wearing awesome boots and for HSM jumping off so many different things for me!

The Abraham's - Family

I'm back! Yay! And I'm so excited to show you this wonderful family, so dear to my heart.Theatre class auditions; Alyssa walked in the door. She was one of the 'cool' girls, you could tell. The way she walked boasted self-confidence and coolness oozed from her demeanor. Though attracted to her fabulous sense of style, bold hair, and infectios laugh, the moment she opened her mouth and belted out "Macavity" with natural finesse, I was resigned to love and admire her from afar. Then, one fateful day, I made her laugh. Now I get to hear her laugh every time we're together, and it brings me so much joy!

I met her family and fell in love with them. We have the best of times! They invited a Korean exchange student into their lives and not only let her in, but embraced her as one of their own. By God's grace, this family had the privalige of leading Sejin to the Lord. Sejin, I'm so glad you are here, not only with the Abraham's but with us! You hold a special place in my heart.

I am so honored that you entrusted me with capturing your family portraits. Fun and laughter have always characterized our get-togethers and your session was no different. Thank you so much.I love you all!

Is She Gone?

So, I bet you are wondering where I've been. You're concerned for my well-being, my mental heath, my social life. Did she fall off a cliff? Has she contracted a virulent case of smallpox? Is she lying, abandoned, in an intensive care ward in a run-down hospital in some diminutive town in Africa? Or perhaps you aren't. I like to dream... *far-off look in eyes*

For those of you who did indeed wonder what happened to me, it was merely the case of 'hey-we-just-moved-in-and-guess-what-my-computer-can't-live-on-my-little-brother's-desk for-life-and-thus-isn't-actually-quite-set-up-yet." :D My computer is in a disarrayed pile on the floor, waiting for my desk to be reconstructed, which we're *hopefully* going to fix right now! *insert ecstatic face*

I have SOO many fun things to show you as soon as I'm 'back' and can't wait to share them with you! I will have a family shoot, a senior, and an anytime shoot to show you by the time I'm done! Not to mention all the fantastic shoots I have planned for the next two weeks! Thanks for sticking with me and hopefully the wait will be worth it!

See you soon! *winks*
